Leukocytes In Urine During Ketosis. Connected To Ketosis Or Not?

Used a urine stick to check to see if everything was normal and there was slightly elevated amounts of leukocytes in it.  I know that they are prevalent when body is fighting an infection especially a UTI, but is it possible/normal for them to be present when a body is in ketosis?  Or that ketosis is stressing my kidney's too much?  Or is it completely unrelated and something I should have further examined.  I've had no signs of UTI infection.  Frequent urination yes, but that always happens to me when going into or already in ketosis.  Additonally, I am male. Thanks.

Urine analysis of leukocytes (and ketones for that matter) are horribly inaccurate compared to blood tests.  If you think your kidneys are stressed consider the following tests, most of which should be covered by your insurance:

        Serum Creatinine

        Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR)

        Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)

Imaging tests via ultrasound or CT may be provided depending on the data above.
