a whole bar!
I'm buying 500g bars. Half a kilo is A LOT of chocolate.
Then I finish A LOT. (ok, not in a day but could) :-P
It doesn't get easier... It's you who gets better.
Is your social worker in that horse?
Success has a price, not a secret.
I'd go with the 90% as it's got nearly no sugar for a pretty good serving.--- I'm a fanatic and eat close to a half bar a day.
The Lindt 90% tastes unbelievable for such little sugar!
I only do a few pieces once in a while, because I find that chocolate (even just cocoa powder) tends to kick me out of ketosis.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Thanks Garret! (Just had one.)
Are you saying that MCT will offset the effect of the chocolate on ketosis?
Mary
I wasn't aware of 90% or 99% chocolate having negative effects on ketosis. But then again, I drink down so much MCT Oil, that I probably rival Jason in that regard. So if I'm not refeeding, I'm likely rather quickly into fairly deep ketosis. I also don't measure my blood ketone levels, nor do ketostix
By the way, eat avocados. They're good for everything. Especially when blended with chocolate.
Mmmm.... avo chocolate...
Half to a whole bar daily for me ,, green and blacks organic 85%
hmmm so delicious ,, never noticed it throwing me off ketosis , in fact , I find it to nourish ketosis since cocoa is Fat as well . healthy fat ,
1 tbsp/15ml (5g) of org cocoa powder has 0.5g fat, and 2g carbs (2g fibre)
I'd say eat more whole chocolate, and less powder. You'll get more full fat, which will push you deeper into ketosis. That's my feeling. Would love to hear other people's thoughts on that.
Still looking for a minimum effect dose for 85% or 90% in grams.
i'm gonna go buy some 90% now.
I love to down a bar of 90% lindt, but after just doing the math and realising that that equates to 70mg of caffeine i understand why i can't sleep after i do this
The 90% Lindt is honestly addicting. --- Prime source of antioxidants and fats.
I hated dark chocolate and now I'm a snob.
