Just In Time For Xmas... Bulletproof Eggnog!

One of my guilty pleasures in life is eggnog. Yummy and filling and screams of the holidays...

While pouring a bit of my treat into my coffee the other day, I had a sudden realization. Egg. Milk, Spices.... eggnog is a natural BP recipie!


I usually eyeball it, but here is about what I make:


Serves about 2:


2 eggs

1.5 cups of milk

.5 cup heavy cream

Dash of vanella extract (or better, raw vanella pods)

Sprinkle of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove

sweetner to taste (<-- honestly, you don't need much with all the cream...)


In all cases, go for the organic, free-range, etc. etc. (I shouldn't have to tell you this)



Easy way - dump everything in a blender. Mix until it starts to thicken.

Harder way - Seperate egg whites. Beat until they start to peak. Mix in yolks and cream and blend until smooth. This makes for a nicer texture, but if you are making a bunch to put in your BP coffee, then it doesn't matter.


I'm going to try this with some coconut oil as well. Not sure how the oil might affect it, but I'm hoping it'll add a little bit of sweet coconut taste...
