A Guide To Nuts
Mark Sisson just put together a nice little guide on nuts, discussing their benefits. Thought I'd share, as it was really interesting to me. Dave's standards for nuts are more exacting, but I have to say that the potential health benefits of certain nuts are alluring to me. I'm considering eating more widely in this area to reap the benefits. As of now I only really eat raw almonds and the occasional raw macadamia.
Like, I don't remember where hazelnuts fall on the BP infographic, but hazelnut skin apparently contains 7-8 times the polyphenols of dark chocolate. That's a big deal, IMO.
What about you guys? What nuts do you regularly eat, and in what amounts/how frequently? Organic? Conventional? Raw?
