“Piperidine is used in both the treatment of parasites and worms in animals and the treatment of schizophrenia, in humans. Researchers propose that schizophrenia may result from a parasite infection like T. gondii.”

Cats spread disease and filth. Slinking, smelly garbage animals. They rub on you to mark you as their property, have evolved their cries to mimic those of human babies, breed rapidly, poo in your sandy recreation areas, and force you to keep a box in your house dedicated to holding their metabolic byproducts. Basically taking over your life and causing you to build a shrine to their pee and poo, which you fill with fresh crystalline absorbents for their excremental comfort. All the while taking over your mind with their symbiotic partner, toxoplasma gondii.

With that paragraph the forum-wide war between cat-lovers and dog-lovers began. It would be seventy years and three before the lands knew peace again...

Yea this parasite infection theory is very common. As someone who had a psychotic episode himself 12 years ago have read about it on Wikipedia. I never got myself tested for that. Nobody actually was interested. My mom had a cat when I was young so it can be totally true that I got infected while she was pregnant or after that.

But nowadays after checking my DNA I think it's genetic plus some other environmental triggers for example cannabis... at least for me. I look forward to Johns blog post because maybe he has some nice tips and tricks to selftest for an infection like this.
