Improve Physical Performance With Tdcs

Found this study recently. Although tDCS is mostly discussed in the brain hacks forum, I felt this should be shared here because of its implications.

The idea is that engaging in anodal stimulation to the DLPFC or M1 Primary Motor Cortex during the viewing of a physical activity actually increases learning and subsequent performance of the activity.



I would love to see DIY experiments from biohackers with this. Could this aid in the learning or improvement of dance? martial arts? body building?

The idea is simple enough. When watching a physical act neurons (I think mirror neurons in this case) fire and activate the muscles involved with the activity (this also happens while visualizing). The tDCS would increase excitability. If you actively engaged your mind in visualization of performing the watched activity, it could decrease the learning curve.
