Adaptogens / Tonic Herbs
I've been into TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for a while and understand that in TCM it is said that a certain class of herbs can be taken every day with no negative consequences (tonic herbs). However I am not so sure it is a good idea to be taking the same herbs every single day for sustained periods of time and that the body might start relying on the external stimulus to perform at a certain level.
I take concentrated extracts of reishi, cordyceps and pine pollen twice daily. I am not sure if this is wise for the reasons outlined above.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.
