Wondering If I Can/should Reduce My Sleep
I was wondering what you guys thought about reducing my sleep from 8 hours to 6 hours. My motivation is simply to get more hours in a day.
I have always slept 8 hours per day, but I think I just built the habit because I grew up my whole life with everyone saying to sleep 8 hours.
My father and my late grandfather only sleep/slept 6 hours per night, so it seems like it may be hereditary.
I am planning on doing this experiment, of sleeping 6 hours, based on the assumption that the only reason I sleep 8 is due to habit and it is not really necessary for functioning properly or my overall well being.
Do you guys think this makes sense? Also, what are some good ways of objectively tracking if I am sleep deprived.
