Face lift anyone?

Hi. I am 56 years old and my cheeks are sagging. I have wrinkles all over my face. I am considering a facelift procedure. But my concern is I had undergone a rhinoplasty procedure in Toronto about 3 months ago. So is it possible to undergo a facelift within the gap of 3 months? Or is there any other alternative for a facelift? Also, can anyone suggest some daily use anti-aging moisturizer cream? Thanks in advance.

  • Consider the nonsurgical possibilities first. Find a Functional Medicine doctor who does aesthetics. Getting your hormones properly balanced will not reverse the changes you already have, but can really affect how you show your age in the future. Topical medications can be prescribed and compounded for you that can seriously help. One nonsurgical modality that works well is based on ultrasound.

It may be that a surgical procedure on just your neck and lower face will achieve your goals - sometimes called a mini-face-lift - and this is not likely to affect the rhinoplasty that you had.

  • Use Brain Octane as a daily moisturizer for your skin and for extra elasticity and glow rub just used coffee grounds as a peeling over your skin and rinse. The caffeine will tighten your skin.
Dave has a nice post about Bulletproof skin care:

    Try also taking Collagen.

In terms of the details of surgery I have no knowledge but I think generally surgery is to be avoided if possible.

I wish you success and tell us what helped!

  • I received dermalmd wrinkle reduction serum as one of my order. This serum is fabulous. I couldn't believe my fine lines basically disappear after 2 uses. I had to come back, and place an order for it. I've never used a product that's so magical. I hope they keep this product, forever.

Try coconut oil on your skin and consider being grateful just to age. Also, beauty starts on the inside and comes out. If you are sagging on the inside, you will sag on the outside. Sorry but true. I too, am in my 50s. Want to look like you did in your twenties at 56? then act like you are in your twenties-stop complaining, live life to the fullest and stay active by giving to the world. Good luck with self love and living a good full life. Surgery will make your doctor young when he gets your check.

  • I suggest you to consider facelift surgery .. I also tell you about best facelift surgery clinic in dubai.

  • Voluma was specifically created to lift the cheeks. If you have no other extensive facial aging, like sagging in the jaw (jowls) or neck, this might do the trick for you, and results last up to 18 months or longer. I have been marketing plastic surgeons for 15 years. If you tell me where you live I will tell you who I know there who will do a good job. No offense to anyone but you don't need a functional medicine doctor do this. You need someone who is an expert injector. The hand that holds the needle determines the results.

  • Face lifts along with any other surgeries for that matter, are procedures which require serious thought, as these operations are costly and not always guaranteed. For the better part of 25 years I treated my skin with a wreckless disregard, and over time, significantly damaged my skin, especially my face. I've been using a moisturizing face mask from Neova for the last year and the results are very pleasing. I would suggest trying all options before surgery. Good luck

  • We all experience varying degree of skin sagging when we get older. I used to go for facial treatments and they seem to work well. However, they don't feel as effective anymore.

Thank god I am glad to have found an aesthetic doctor I really trust in Singapore. Dr. Siew Tuck Wah is one of the very few doctors in Singapore who tells you what is best for you and not for his own pocket. Most importantly, his sense of beauty suits mine - natural yet visibly younger.

I did a couple of treatments with him - Rejuran Skin Healer PDRN treatment and Silhouette Soft Skin Lifting treatment. Results have so far been remarkable.

After going through rhinoplasty, I suggest you waiting for sometime before going for facelift surgery. Further coming to the alternative, I just want you to tell that wrinkles are natural and instead of removing them with the facelift, you should try to focus on healthy diet habits and establish an exercise schedule that can help in reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Moving towards the anti-aging moisturizer, I suggest you use a moisturizer that contains AHA constituent for better results.

  • Try to use Vitality26 organic face cream and serum. It will help you tighten your skin for a younger looking you.

  • You are 56 years old. It is natural that your cheeks are sagging. But, if you are too much concerned about how you look at this age, there are a lot of ways to look much younger even when you hit 80.
Facelifting is a good option. But, consider it only if you are aware of the side effects. There are chances for Bleeding, hematoma, and bruising. Also, if the procedures are not done keeping the standards, it may cause infection. There are chances for Neurological dysfunction, even though the chances are too small to consider. And, a facelift will cause you anywhere between $8000 to $30000 depending on the scale, surgeon, geographic region and technology used in the procedure.
If you do not have that much money or do not want to risk the side effects, you can look for alternatives like acupuncture, yoga or any other holistic medicines that will help you to rejuvenate your body, mind and soul. For example, nowadays a lot of people are going for acupuncture therapy to not only treat some of the diseases but also as an anti-ageing measure. There are a lot of clinics that offers facial acupuncture especially to remove wrinkles and sagging. But, I will recommend you to go to someone who has experience in medical and traditional acupuncture.
Personally, I don't believe in any anti-ageing moisturizer creams. So sorry that I can't recommend any.
