Dopamine receptor damage from supplementing. Healthy vs. dangerous amount?

Hey guys,

I am curious about the potential dangers of supplementing with dopamine boosting supplements like L-Tyrosine and 5-HTP. It seems that the balance between a healthy amount, and a potentially dangerous amount that damages your receptors is a bit vague. I am wondering if there is a way to know you are taking the right amount to not cause any permanent damage?
