Can I use an espresso machine to make my Bullet Proof Coffee?

Just starting out here.

I just bought everything i need to make bulletproof coffee for my breakfast:

  1. Bulletproof Upgraded Collagen Protein
  2. Bulletproof - Brain Octane Oil
  3. Bulletproof - the Original Whole Bean Coffee, Upgraded Coffee Upgrades Your Day

I'm now going to buy a cheap blender and some grass-fed butter from trader joes. I bought Bulletproof - Grass-Fed Ghee, but the instructions in the book didn't say to use that in place of the grass-fed butter... unless I'm mistaken?

My question is, I have a Breville BES870XL Barista Express Espresso Machine and I plan on pouring my whole bean bullet proof coffee in there to make the actual coffee (Americana). It doesn't use a paper filter, but it uses high pressure on a metal filter to extract crema... is this ok to use over a french press... or will I not receive the same benefits?

Thank you

  • I have the same question. Any response?

  • I cannot think of any concerns from replacing coffee with Americano (water + espresso) in the BPC recipe.
