Upgraded Chef Braised Indian Salmon Recipe


I made this recipe 2 days ago and was confused at the last step to adding oils and fats at the end before serving ...

So i have my dish ready to go and all i need is to add the fats ... but its been braising at low heat for 10 minutes...

so now i am ready to serve:

so I add the MCT + coconut oil. as we all know is in solid form and needs to melt... am i supposed to melt it before and at low heat in a separate saucepan? adding it in solid form just does not work.

side note: is it ok to grind the spices ... i bought them in seed format .. but the recipe says nothing about grinding them... i did anyways in s small coffee grinder .. was that wrong ?
