Does oxaloacetate lower ketones in a meaningful way?

I've been thinking about adding benaGene or Keto Prime to my ketogenic regimen.

From what I understand, ketones are produced due to a state of low Oxaloacetate (https://chrismasterjohnphd.com/2016/07/28/ketogenesis-isnt-all-about-carbs-and-insulin/)

So, does supplemental oxaloacetate then lower ketones, or is the dose too low to make a difference?
