Bikram Yoga?

edited February 2013 in Athletic Performance
I do Bikram about 3-4 times per week. If I have BPC before a 9:30 am class, I get really ill during class. Is it better to go to the 9:30 without BPC and drink it after (start at 11:30). How does this screw with IF?

You're fine having the coffee after. It might benefit you to do the yoga in a truly fasted stated as well.
  • i think it would only improve IF, maybe drink half bpc then half after?

  • I drink my coffee about an hour before class and am fine. The most imprtant thing with Bikram is to be fully hydrated before class starts and drink frequently during class.

    Hope this helps,

  • Fasted BY has been awesome this week. It took a couple classes to get over feeling like I was lacking the strength but I think that was psychological. BY peeps, you should try it if you haven't already.
  • How would it be an improvement on my "DIY-Yoga" (ie quiet/calm stretching on my yoga mat, making the most of breathing, stretching, flexibility and static strength)?

Any links to beginner tutorials so I can give it a spin?
