Is Cognitive behavior therapy successful?


I think this social anxiety issues will spoil my life. I was diagnosed with anxiety issues 5 years ago. Since then I used to avoid social parties. All my friends think I'm an introvert. How can I solve this problem? I had undergone several treatments and medications.

Lately, I consulted a social anxiety treatment specialist in Toronto. They suggested undergoing CBT. But I'm not sure about its success rate. Is it a good option? Share your suggestions.
