To Sear Or Not To Sear?

I heard Dave mention in a podcast that searing meat is bad, not BP. Why? I need to convince my old school parents to not sear the expensive grass fed meat I buy. Just wandering. Thx!

    Destruction of the fats and proteins in the meat from prolonged periods of high heat through oxidation.  These things promote inflammation once ingested.  Honestly, if the rest of their lifestyle and habits aren't on point with toxins and nutrition the benefits of unseared steak is going to be negligible.  That is probably a finer detail you tune once you have covered more of your larger bases.
