Kerrygold Butter No Longer 100% Grass Fed

http://hopecentric.com/why-i-stopped-buying-kerrygold-butter/

Sad news!! It's still 90% grass fed, but the cows are now fed some corn and soy, and it's not completely GMO free either (mostly, but not completely).

I can pick it up at my local grocery store, it's convenient, and the price is affordable. I don't always eat 100% perfectly, so I don't think that I'll let this stop me from buying Kerrygold. But for folks who are hardcore bulletproof, there are other options:

    Isn't this old news?

Thought I heard Dave talking about the cows being put inside in the cold weather and fed 'Non-Grass'.

Think there's a thread about buying and stocking Kerry Gold while the cows are outside.

  • My local farmers market has 100% grassfed butter, for $12 a pound. Just stock up on Kerrygold in the summer, when it's more apt to be grassfed.

Does anyone knows if the have a production date in the package ???

Im gonna stock up in the fall, im in NY and i imagine it will take some time to make the butter and send it over to the states. In the spring/summer you might be getting old butter.

It was the first I'd heard of it, so it wasn't old news to me. I'd been meaning to sign up anyway, having something that seemed noteworthy to post was just the impetus. And if I hadn't, then I wouldn't have found out about buying and stocking Kerrygold at certain times of the year, so win for me. :)
