Non Gmo Ascorbic Acid?

What's the deal with being able to find non GMO ascorbic acid? I can't find anything labeled "organic". With the high dose iodine I've been trying to take a lot of vitamin C to help with detox, so I figured it might make sense to find something that wasn't derived from a GMO source. Thoughts?

Vitamin C is derived from Corn Dextrose Fermentation. Take either Ester C or a Vitamin C made in England.

This is the one that I use. It's the closest thing you can find to what you are asking for in my opinion. However, it's not exactly dirt cheap.

  • Here's another one guaranteed to be GMO free. Also a bit pricey:

Why are you high dosing Iodine? Salt loading is what is used in conjunction. What's up with your body temp?

Salt loading and Vitamin C from what I've read.

97.3 avg for some reason. Going to roll with 50mg of lugols for a few months and see what happens.

After iodine supplementation I've been getting up to 98.1

TSH and free T4 came back normal, haven't gotten an rT3 or free T3 test yet.

Is what it is, we'll see what happens with the temps.

  • How is Ester C made, is it from GMO derived dextrose as well, or if you get an Ester C is it made from a different source so GMO isn't a concern?

Interesting about choosing one made in England - any reason?

My friend, if you are titrating up, anywhere from 8-15mg is needed to stabilize. If that's not the case, you need to look elsewhere for your thyroid down regulation. Slamming 50mg is pretty risky...don't it is what it is, you can really jack your shit up. Take it from me, I'v been destroyed for the past 6 months and I was in good health!

  • not ascorbic acid, but Truly Natural has a good acerola powder

Hi John, good call on the UK vitamin C. I've been mega dosing C since 2005 and found out that the only non GMO vitamin C made outside of China or India is made by one last western manufacturer in the UK. You can order it here: http://gmofreevitamins.com/product/non-gmo-vitamin-c/

  • I've been taking the time release Solaray vitamin c Dave listed on his sups article. Anyone know if it's gmo free?
