  • And they give loyalty points for each purchase - already got a £2 discount.

    Sweet!
  • looks a bit too commercial to me, where is the farmers and the happy animals and the how we work story? where is the meat reared?

I think there is more trustworthy sources in the uk with a solid real farm background and option to visit the farm...I like to know that I am not getting told fibs when it comes to food quality.
  • Whilst they are a commecial company (which I see as an advantage as it makes the produce cheaper) all the meat is fully traceable back to the individual farms in Scotland. They are happy to provide details on request.

I guess it depends on your budget - obviously if you are loaded than you can get all your meat from a local farmshop, but this is a great way of getting quality grass fed meat at a brilliant price. I don't see an issue with it.
  • What do you guys think of this site?

Thanks so much for this link!
  • You're welcome, the meat is awesome!
  • I'm in Northern Ireland and I've started going to the Belfast St Georges market. You can't really go wrong with Irish beef, as far as I can see (I'm a foreigner so correct me if I'm wrong).

It's pretty easy to be Paleo over here I think, but too bad most locals are overweight, obese and look unhealthy.

  • I can honestly say it's the best meat I've ever tasted.

I'm going to order some grass-fed lamb's liver next time as well.
  • I'm from Manchester and I found this guy a couple of weeks ago http://www.lordsofmiddleton.co.uk/

  • Anyone tried http://www.greenpasturefarms.co.uk/?

Just ordered a selection of cuts from them to try out. You can even buy a whole cow! Might do that if the meat ticks all the boxes.
  • I spent wayway to much time researching the best place to get my meat from, after getting screwed by a butcher, I have settled on http://www.booths.co.uk/counter/butcher/ as a stop gap til I can be arsed finding another butcher, thats not to say Booths meat is bad, it ain't, its all grass fed.

I went in there today, to get some meat when I noticed in the chilled food section near the door that they are now stocking this guys stuff http://www.laverstokepark.co.uk/ , I was put off with this guy because his stuff was so expensive and you needed to buy £80 worth to get free delivery. So think am going to start buying this guys stuff from now on, thing is you would expect this stuff to be more expensive then buying it of his site because your adding another link in the chain, but it isn't, take the Lamb Mince he wants £6.99 for 500g, but if you buy his stuff out of Booths its like £4.47 for 500g. Makes my blood boil that he's ripping people of through his site, but his meat is top notch, so get down to Booths guys if there is one near you!!!.
