How To Make Salmon Enjoyable?
Each time I tried salmon i've been put off by the taste, but I don't wanna give up so easily. I really wanna try and develop my tastes to it because I know how great wild caught salmon is for your health.
What is the best way to cook/prepare salmon to make it go down easier? There must be some trick :-P
Thanks

There's just something to the taste of salmon that makes me wanna gag, I used to love tuna/haddock before going bp.
Haven't tried lemon juice, but I'll cook some more today and give it a go.
Eat it only in front of naked women?

Fry it up in canola with bread crumbs. Masks the taste really well.
But more seriously, I'm not too fond of salmon (or any fish) either. I just recently got used to eating sardines, and honestly black pepper and salt kind of masked the taste enough for me to get used to it. I've been meaning to develop a taste for salmon, but... it's too expensive to buy simply to pitch it in disgust later on. I'll probably try and get used to the canned stuff first before jumping into a river and catching one with my teeth.

Get smoked salmon and wrap your slices around chunks of butter.
That's another thing. I can't speak for OP, but eating butter by itself kind of revolts me. I don't know why. Putting it on foods where it melts or throwing it in my coffee or whatever? Cool. Eating chunks of butter? That shit makes me gag.
Just the other day, my three-year old was eating some white rice. He saw me throwing some butter on my broccoli and asked me for some, so I threw a pat of butter on his rice and figured it'd melt. To my sheer horror, my kid picked up the butter, ate it in like 2 bites and then asked for more. My one-year old also got in on the action, and together they ended up eating a few pats of Kerrygold between them.
That was the day I realized that my sons are destined to become more Bulletproof than me.

Our kids are going to need to be more resilient than we are because the environment is only going to put more and more stress on them. Luckily, they aren't raised with the amount of anti-butter agitprop as we were growing up.
Are coconut aminos bulletproof? They're essentially a soy sauce replacement of sorts. I pour that jawn over my steaks, fish, etc.

They're paleo-friendly; that's for sure.
Try eating sardines for a while, then go back to salmon and you will really appreciate the taste. Maybe it's individual taste but I find sardines pretty hard to take in comparison to salmon.
surf-and-turf: cut it into bite-sized pieces, wrap with some par-cooked bacon and finish in the oven.
or serve it smothered with a strong condiment like a nice hardy mustard or cranberry chutney.

have you tried the braised indian salmon recipe in upgraded chef? although jason hooper's posts in the lauric acid thread make me question the pairing of coconut and fish...grrr...
I wonder how it'd taste with some BP Mayo or BP Guac on top....
hmmmm
yumm....
I have a recipe for salmon with basil pesto spread on it. They you sprinkle planko on it. It's terrific and if you don't like the taste of salmon much it'd be a good bet the pesto overpowers every other flavour.
My favorite recipe involves an avocado spread and baking it in the oven. I don't really have exact measurements, as I just kind of wing it, but it always turns out delicious.
Mix the following in a bowl:
-1 or 2 avocados (depending on size of salmon)
-Basil
-Garlic (optional)
-Lemon zest
-Any other random spices you may enjoy, such as turmeric, parsley, etc.
Spread an even layer over the salmon. Place in the oven on 350 for 10 minutes. Increase to broil for 4 minutes. This will result in one delicious salmon dinner. The temperatures may be a bit high for some on the forum, but I would argue that you would be better off eating salmon cooked at a higher temperature than not eating salmon at all.
