Wooden Cutting Board Maintenance Without The Carcinogens?

Hey Bulletproof Chefs what are your thoughts on alternatives to mineral oil for wooden cutting board maintenance? 


 


Mineral Oil is a toxic petroleum product that is known to imped the absorption of fat soluble vitamins and "Food Grade" mineral oil is a very misleading term.


 


 

I've read about making your own oil at home using a combination of coconut oil and beeswax flakes, would this be prone to bacterial contamination? Would MCT Oil be a better option that coconut oil? What are your thoughts on this?
