Malic Acid....destroys Tooth Enamel?

Hey,  I just started taking Malic Acid based on the suggestion for oxaloacetate by the wonderful folks in this forum.   Malic Acid converts to oxaloacetate which helps the brain and mitochondria produce ATP.

However,  I research on the internet and I found out that Malic Acid eats away at your tooth enamel....so how true is that?

I guess if I take in Malic Acid in powder form,  I have to use a straw to suck it with a liquid drink to avoid hitting the teeth or take Malic Acid pills.
