Just left an overdue Amazon review, but I thought I'd put in the good word here as well. The Amazon review is more for the layperson than knowledgeable biohackers anyway.

For those that haven't bought it yet, the book is very good. Even if your gut is working fine, the overview of how the gut works is an easy to understand but comprehensive, and there is a bunch of other great stuff on antibiotics and supplements that is valuable to any biohacker. I also made quite a lot of connections about how go-to treatments for a lot of digestive orders don't address the root cause, or in some cases may make you vulnerable to new problems, so it was an interesting read in addition to being very usable as a gut reference manual.

You can view the table of contents using the "Look Inside!" link on Amazon. I'd say John has been overly modest on the forum about the breadth of what the book covers, so if you're on the fence and not sure what's inside, check the table of contents. It's definitely not just for people with X symptom.
